meaning of christmas

i post it on my note's on fb hehee

Some says it’s the season of giving
Some just celebrate it as a simple holiday
And some says it is the birth of Christ
But why do we need to celebrate it?

Christmas is composed of two words. Christ and mass meaning Christ for the mass Christ is given to the mass;In fact it is the reason why many of us gives gifts and presents during Christmas

As God the father gave his son for us
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
"...It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" according to Acts 20:35

As prophet Isaiah prophecies
Isaiah 9:6For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

And Jesus was given to us not for the rich but for the poor ,not for the strong but for the weak and not for the righteous but for the sinners
for us.. for us to have life eternal, for us to be with him till eternity

We may hear or read an article or commercials in T.V., radio, newspaper and other new media that explains the meaning of Christmas but I think none of them explains the most important meaning of Christmas The most important meaning of Christmas is SALVATION only through Christ
We are cleansed from our sin through the blood of Christ that poured out for us just to have the everlasting life.

if they say Christmas let our response be SALVATION…
